OH ROMEO!?
Junge Marie* I Premiere Februar 2022 Bühne Aarau
"No more Valentine's Day kitsch: Young Marie does away with boring love clichés" - Aargauer Zeitung

Juliet and Romeo, the world's most famous lovers. But do they really love each other – or do they die before they do?
Starting with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, young Marie and five young adults delve into the many clichés surrounding romantic love. Everyone knows it: love. But what is it anyway? What language does love speak? Is it drama, sentimentality, and kitsch? Or the calm after the storm? Free choice, fate, or shaped by the ideas of parents, community, and patriarchal society? Influenced by classics like Romeo and Juliet and Netflix series? And how do people with diverse life realities love? Love has revolutionary explosive power, they say. It climbs over every obstacle and flies over every ditch.
